Finding the Best Shoes for Your Next Adventure
Choosing the right shoes to pack for your vacation can have a significant impact on just how much you actually enjoy your trip.
If you make the mistake of focusing only on fashion and not on comfort, you could spend the entire time wishing you didn’t have to walk around in shoes that make your feet ache after only a few minutes.
Finding the Best Shoes
You want to pack shoes you can rely on without throwing so many pairs in your luggage that you don’t have space for anything else.
It’s best to stick with three pairs: a fashionable pair for meals or similar events, a pair of comfortable sandals or boots you can walk around in for hours, and a durable pair for any activities that may require them.
Keep the following points in mind to make sure you choose the right footwear for your vacation. With these tips, packing can be a lot simpler.
Walking Shoes
Obviously, comfort is essential for any pair of walking shoes. They should fit perfectly without cramping your feet, offer enough cushioning for long tours through your chosen destination, and provide stability.
Again, you’re not planning on bringing a lot of shoes along with your trip. That’s why a neutral pair of black, gray, or beige shoes may be ideal. These colors match a wide variety of outfits. They’ll help you save time when determining what will look best with your vacation wardrobe.
Fashionable Shoes
Check your itinerary to decide which activities or events during your trip may require a more fashionable pair of shoes.
Although you may be attending a particular fancy event, odds are good you’ll still be able to get away with wearing a stylish pair of flats. Fashion experts point out that this style is extremely versatile.
Flats are great if you want something that looks perfect with your dinner outfit, but also useful if you want to take a break from your regular pair of walking shoes for a little bit.
Durable Shoes
Even if you’re not sure you’ll be participating in any athletic activities during your trip, it’s smart to have a pair of sturdy shoes on hand just in case.
That doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice style. A basic sneaker can still look great while providing enough traction and support in case you decide you want to go for a hike while on vacation.
Try to find a pair of shock absorbing sneakers. They’ll keep you safe and comfortable if you end up doing something athletic while you’re away.
Again, you really don’t need to pack your entire shoe closet when going in vacation. You can make life a lot easier for yourself by simply choosing three pairs.
These tips will help ensure you make the right choices for your next adventure.
