Villager RV Park. Villager is not technically in Ocala. It’s located in Wildwood, Florida. This adult (18+) park is big rig-friendly and offers full hookups. It attracts RV enthusiasts who seek a long-term home base for the winter season. Some guests stay for a full year. It’s a great option because of the convenient location near grocery stores and numerous restaurants.
Moreover, it’s south of Ocala and thus closer to Orlando. It’s an approximate one hour drive to Disney World and other popular theme parks.
Alexander Springs Campground. An Ocala National Forest Recreation Area Pass is required for entry. RV and tent camping sites are available. No water, sewer, or electrical hookups at the sites.
Outdoor activities include fishing, canoeing and kayaking (rentals available), and hiking. The campground offers potable water, flush toilets, and a bathhouse with hot showers. There is an onsite dump station.
