  • Villager RV Park. Villager is not technically in Ocala. It’s located in Wildwood, Florida. This adult (18+) park is big rig-friendly and offers full hookups. It attracts RV enthusiasts who seek a long-term home base for the winter season. Some guests stay for a full year. It’s a great option because of the convenient location near grocery stores and numerous restaurants.
  • Moreover, it’s south of Ocala and thus closer to Orlando. It’s an approximate one hour drive to Disney World and other popular theme parks.
  • Alexander Springs Campground. An Ocala National Forest Recreation Area Pass is required for entry. RV and tent camping sites are available. No water, sewer, or electrical hookups at the sites.
  • Outdoor activities include fishing, canoeing and kayaking (rentals available), and hiking. The campground offers potable water, flush toilets, and a bathhouse with hot showers. There is an onsite dump station.
